Hitzer is a handsome, well-built, high-quality gelding from line 27. His dam is an AAA mare by Take 455, his granddam is a Kroon Prestatie AA mare, and his great-granddam is a Ster mare. Hitzer’s dam’s half-sister is the well-known Model Sport AA mare Thirsa fan Jentsje’s pleats. He comes from a line with a strong breeding record.
Hitzer was born in 2018 and earned a 1st premium at his performance test. As a 3-year-old, he took the ABFP test as part of the progeny evaluation for his sire, Julius 486. Hitzer achieved an AA score of “
” and was subsequently awarded “Ster” status at the performance test. Hitzer is a correctly built gelding with strong joints; he has correct leg placement and moves well. He walks with a spacious, active stride and trots with good posture and effective hind leg engagement. In work, Hitzer is a sweet and honest horse. He is reliable and has a good attitude. He has been ridden under saddle and driven and is easy to handle.
Hitzer has competed in marathon races and is therefore quite experienced on unfamiliar terrain! He has recently started competing in harness racing as well, and is doing a great job!
