The firing process
Frysk Hynder single malt whiskey is made from 100% malt from our own malting facility. The malt sugar solution—the wort—is fermented after the clarification process, producing alcohol. This is followed by a double distillation process, which gives Frysk Hynder single malt whiskey its unique flavor. The whisky is aged in various casks, such as wine, cognac, and sherry casks. After years of aging, the whisky is bottled directly from the casks. This allows the Frysk Hynder whisky to retain the distinctive aromas it acquired during the distillation and aging processes. Frysk Hynder single malt whiskies feature a handwritten label. On it, you’ll find interesting information such as when and by whom the whisky was distilled and in what type of cask it was aged.
